Doctor's Appointment

So, Mark and I took Braegan for her 18 month check up this week. She is growing great. She is in the 50th percentile for weight(23 lbs. 12 oz.) and height(32 in.). Her head circumference(19.5 in.)is in the 95th percentile. She still has a HUGE brain inside her beautiful head. We talked to the doctor about her language and she is doing great especially in receptive language or understanding what we are telling her to do. Finally, we discussed the fact that Braegan is not walking on her own yet. At 18 months most children are able to walk on their own. Braegan can walk holding our hand, but does not seem to have the balance to do it alone. Dr. Farr recommended that we see a physical therapist who could help us with exercises or toys/equipment that could help her on her way. When Braegan was very small we went to a physical therapist and we will be seeing the same one. The diagnosis was low muscle tone then and it is the same now. Basically the easiest way to put it is that she has the strength in her muscles but it is hard to sustain for long periods of time. We will keep everyone updated on her progress after meeting with the physical therapist. I will try to do much better about keeping the blog updated!
